Hunter Herald 5 Eco Wood Burning Stove

Description

What Is the Hunter Herald 5 Eco?

The Herald 5 Eco is a 5kW wood burning stove with a timeless look that suits both classic and modern rooms. It has been updated to meet the strict EcoDesign 2022 rules, with lower emissions and a very clean burn. It is a good fit if you want a reliable, good-looking stove for an everyday living room.

How Much Heat Does It Give?

The nominal output is 5kW, and the output range runs from 4.2kW to 7kW. That makes it a good match for small to medium rooms, from a cosy cottage to a modern flat. You can turn the heat up or down to suit the weather and the size of your room.

Will It Save Me Money on Logs?

The stove is 78% efficient on wood. That means more of each log turns into heat, so you need fewer logs to warm your room. It also has an A energy rating and cleanburn technology, which help keep emissions low.

Can I See the Fire Clearly?

Yes. The stove has a large viewing window, so you get a lovely view of the flames and the warm orange glow. The Airwash system sends air across the inside of the glass to help stop soot and ash from building up, which keeps the view clear.

Is It Easy to Clean?

The internal riddling de-ashing grate and ashpan come as standard. They make it simple to remove ash, so there is less mess and less work.

Which Door Should I Choose?

• Single door: a sleek, clear view of the fire, which makes the stove a real focal point
• Double door: a classic look, with easy access to the firebox for loading wood and cleaning

Can I Use It in a Smoke Control Area?

Yes. The Herald 5 Eco is Smoke Control exempt, so you can burn wood in a Smoke Control Area as long as you use the stove as the maker says.

What Else Should I Know?

• Flue outlet: 5″ top or rear, which gives you more choice when planning your install
• An optional direct air kit is available if you want to bring air in from outside
